Artist Statement
My work is highly influenced my family life and history. I am interested in what makes a piece of art and what makes a craft. A predominant theme in my work is based on food and baking. I take recipes that have been handed down from both sides of my family and remake the meals from them, documenting the process through photography to then draw up large scale in charcoal. I am also keen on using stitch, knitting and relief printing, mainly drawing in monochrome as a nod to nostalgia of old photography.
Education History:
I have completed a Masters in Multidisciplinary Print Making at the University of the West of England, before that I did my BA in Drawing and Applied Arts again at UWE. I have also completed a BETC National Diploma in Art and Design at City of Bristol College.
